About FirmOS
History
After their studies at the University of Technology in Graz, Austria, the two founders of the company,
Helmut Hartl and Franz Schober decided to run a company under the name Schober & Hartl OEG.
They started in 2001 and from the beginning in these early days, the trademark FirmOS was used.
The main focus of the Schober & Hartl OEG in the early days
- Database systems for ERP on Linux servers with Firebird databases and Delphi clients for Windows
- Database systems for transport and logistic
- Linux based All-In-One servers "FirmOS Core" for small enterprises (Firewall, Router, Fileserver, Mailserver, Webserver, Backupsystem)
- Firmware programming for embedded devices
- Mobile electronic weighing devices for agriculture
- Database systems for golf club and driving range administration
In the year 2006 the FirmOS Business Solution Gmbh was founded to cover the needs of the emerging business.
